People seem to have really taken to my new ALL NIGHTER TEE SHIRT, and I have really taken to giving people more of what they are taken with! Earlier this month I was invited to be on a panel of judges at Vans’ 2nd annual Custom Culture Contest in New York City, and I am still buzzing. High schools from all around the country joined in to create the coolest custom shoes possible, and the top five art classes were flown to New York for a party at the House Of Vans in Brooklyn, and a reception at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in Manhattan, with the winning high school receiving $50,000 for their art department. Not an easy decision. Actually, it was one of the more brutal decisions I’ve ever had to make. Every single kid possessed an intense passion and love for creating, most unavoidably obvious during the mural making, and the award ceremony. It has been a long time since I was that inspired, and I can’t thanks Vans enough for welcoming me into their family. So 2 weeks ago I sent some doodles to the JBWW fortress for a cute little photo shoot via the United Parcel Service. A week after that, the United Parcel Service declared them “officially lost” somewhere in the magnificent state of Florida. To make a long story short, a top search party was constructed by all the best police officers in the state. I’m talkin the Miami Vice, CSI Miami, and even Dexter Morgan. It didn’t take long before the art was retrieved from a UPS worker who saw my name on the tube, and immediately pocketed the pieces for his own collection. Can you blame him? I can’t. Mostly because they won’t give me his name. The point being: I now have some new originals for sale. Peep the deets below, then buy RIGHT HERE!
