EPITAPH TOUR WRAP UP

Another tour is in the bag. I’ve reviewed all the tapes and can confidently share the following facts with you all…

FUNNEST SHOW – Honestly it might have been Phoenix. First show with my larger-than-life Charles Barkley signature ESP Eclipse. Buffalo was great too because I finally got to make up for how my guitar misbehaved 10 month prior.
LEAST FAVORITE SHOW – Boise. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good pit related riot during our set, I just really wish they would have kept the power on and let us finish playing. Don’t stress Idaho, we will be back in oh ten!
FAVORITE NEW SONG TO PLAY LIVE – “Roman Holiday”
FAVORITE DAY OFF – NY/NJ: Toured the Howard Stern show in the morning, killer seats for WWE at night. Then laundry!
WORST TOUR MOMENT – In Seattle, watching the Bills blow the Pats MNF game on a TV without volume. I truly believe it ruined the rest of the season for us.
PIT WITH THE SCARIEST LOOKING COMMOTION – Tampa or Chicago. Serious aggression. Dallas and Philly were dang terrifying too.
CITY THAT IS COMPLETELY BONKERS EVERY SINGLE TIME WE PLAY IT – Atlanta is so reliably insane. Toronto too.
FAVORITE VENUE – HOB Boston. Fenway right across the street. Complete mayhem during a Red Sox game. I saw 2 fights just walking back from watching the Bills (grow up massholes!). Walked to guitar center, walked to Newbury Comics. Great hood!
MOST STAGE DIVES – San Antonio @ The White Rabbit
MOST PEOPLE ONSTAGE DURING “WE’REWOLF” – Probably Houston.
MOST FLACID CROWD – San Diego. I love and appreciate every single person there who watched our set, but facts are facts, y’all looked stoned.
FAVORITE PRE-SHOW ACTIVITY – Driving my vespa to the San Diego show with the Easy Tigers In Denim biker gang.
FAVORITE POST-SHOW ACTIVITY – Camping after the San Diego show. Jumping through fire and hatchet throwing contests. Never not fun.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – Doug Spangenburg. True story: showed up the first day to film our next dvd, flew home to get his prick operated on a week later, then flew right out to meet back up with us in California with a string still dangling out of his pee hole. I love this geezer!
BEST NEWCOMER – LEGZ! So siked to taste some chaos with him next month!
HOTTEST NEW LINGO – “Twa Laa”. aka “I told you so”, “fuck you”, “in your face”, etc.
NU-EST RIFF – The beginning of “Sleep with one eye open” by BMTH. baa da da DOO! baa da da DOO! BA DA DOO!
FAVORITE NEW TWEETER BUDDY – @samarchitects
SONG THAT GOT STUCK IN EVERYONE’S FUCKING HEAD ALL FUCKING DAY, EVERYDAY – “The finisher” by Oh, Sleeper. I need a lobotomy in order to stop singing to a world reborn from suffering.
WORST PART ABOUT TOURING IN A VAN – Our drummer’s rarely emptied piss jug.
BEST MOMENT ON THE STERN SHOW – Richard Christy’s prank phone call to a christmas store. We almost didn’t make it to the first show on account of Keith laughing so hard while driving that he damn near drove into a ditch.
BEST MEAL – 1. Returning to Buffalo for a chicken finger sub at Jims! 2. Hunting down Ted’s in AZ for a footlong on a toasted bun! 3. Celebratory crab cracking at Red Lobster on the day our new cd came out.
BEST SHINFO – The Rochester show was the first time in our 11 year career that ETID participated in last-day-of-tour antics. So fun! Who knew?
RUNNER UP SHINFO – BMTH’s sound guy was in a european boy band called Son Of Dork.

Thanks to every single person that came to a show, shot the shit with me, let me sneak them in because the show was sold out, talked art with me, took pictures, got hurt, or just let us share any kind of moment at all with them! We’ll be back soon, DOI!

Had a great time at the L.A. show! Sad to see it didn’t even make your list but also glad it didn’t get most flaccid crowd. Suck it San Diego!

  2. Taylor O'Connor says

I was at the San Diego Show and the crowd Disappointed me……………. I got up on the stage for “we’rewolf.” I Screamed, yelled, and lost my voice. Great Night. Do you remember The taste Of Chaos Tour At HOB San Diego? That was a CRAZY SHOW!!! The Last Song Everyone Charged the Stage! ETID Rocks. Thanks Jordan.

Had a blast at the san antonio show, got in a stage dive on the last song and lost my black vans slip ons!
Partied the rest of the night barefoot! Such a good damn show. You guys always come through.

great performance as always! I was at the show in Philly and had the time of my fucking life. I was so pooped afterwards that i stumbled out in a tattered and sweaty stupor and just laid down outside the electric factory to recap the brutality that just took place. i loved every second of it. thanks for doing what you do and being awesome.

I was at the NYC show and when Keith had people come up on stage at the end, the security guards started to get rough with people trying to get up. I even saw one dude grab a chick by her belt as she was climbing up and yanked her flat on her back. Crazy. But you guys were played an amazing set. Just don’t play with Bring Me The Horizon again. Those high school scene kids are way annoying.

  8. Jordan Buckley says

i love that band. hopefully we hang out in the same parking lots this summer.

i agree with the Oh, Sleeper thing so much. I listen to Son of the Morning almost everyday on my commute home from school now and that last song just never leaves your head. I missed them at the Baltimore show since it took 45 minutes to get in the door. Screamin my lungs out onstage to We’rewolf was amazing though.
