Now is as good a day as any to show my gratitude for the people that have helped me with this artsy lil website. I mean, as my boy William Arthur Ward once said, “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it”. Which was interesting, because then John E. Southard was all “The only people with whom you should try to get even, are those who have helped you”. Then all of a sudden an anonymous Chinese dude was all “When eating bamboo sprouts, remember those who have planted them”. It was a crazy night.
Let’s start with Jordan Roland and crew. As webmaster, he is the master of this website. He made it and it looks awesome and he’s always doing what I force him to do via text message. It can get confusing since I am ALSO named “Jordan”. People try to email me and email him instead all the time. It’s great fun. You should check out his website Draw Jordan. Not too long ago he asked me to draw a mummy’s school picture so he could put it on a shirt. I said “ok”. You can check that out HERE
Next I would like to thank a dude named Brandon Sharpe. He made my MYSPACE PAGE and is constantly helping me out with my graphic art inabilities . You may not use myspace as much as you used to but, you can’t deny how awesome that page looks! I mean, check out all that shit moving around! That’s so cool! Anyway, check out his website CREATE THE UNIVERSE and hire him to do things for you of a graphic nature.
Who’s next, hmmm, how about a guy named Jensen Karp. Homeboy runs Gallery1988 in LA and always invites me to do cool things. I took part in the He-Man art show he had there earlier this year and I’m excited to participate in another upcoming show that I don’t think I can talk about just yet. What I CAN talk about is how some of my favorite all time artists customized some shirts for his company and I was lucky enough to receive the same invitation! Alex Pardee? Greg Simkins? Ever heard of em??? There are only 50, so pick it up HERE! Then follow him on TWITTER, you know, if you’re into laughing at funny things.
And I’m no dummy, I am fully aware that if it wasn’t for being in Every Time I Die, a lot of the doors I’ve walked through would never have opened. My drawing skill would probably be used solely to draw wieners on walls. Don’t get me wrong, I still do that, but I’m blessed enough to do a lot more too! Thanks guys.
If this were a thank you speech, the “wrap it up!” music would be starting, so I will quickly thank my wife for hanging out with me during my drawing marathons and thank you all for the positive feedback I continually receive. So thanks. xoxo. But not a literal hug or kiss. Just because I appreciate you guys doesn’t mean I want you touching me.
